- 2oz rye whiskey
- 1 oz spanish sweet vermouth
- 1/4 oz black cherry liqueur - make sure it is a cordial made from real cherries; artificial flavors don't work here
- 2 dashes angostura or aromatic bitters
- pickled cherry for garnish
Fill rocks glass with ice. Add bourbon, sweet vermouth, liqueur, and bitters. Using bar spoon, stir cocktail for about 20 seconds, careful not to break the ice. Skewer a pickled cherry for garnish.
