1 bar spoon brown sugar
1 orange for peel
rocks glass and ice for serving
Peel one large strip of rind from orange. Rub the peel around the circumference of your rocks glass to deposit the peel's oils; put in bottom of glass. Add one bar spoon of brown sugar to glass along with three dashes of black walnut bitters. Use muddler to combine bitters, sugar, and peel into a coarse paste. Add two ounces of bourbon to your glass. Add ice. Using bar spoon, stir cocktail until chilled.
